On of my earlier blogs in this site talked about Google Wave and the University of the Future.

Today I visited the Khan Academy. The Khan Academy is a not-for-profit organization with the mission of providing a high quality education to anyone, anywhere. The Khan Academy has received a 2009 Tech Award in education

Video instruction is available free from U tube in subjects ranging from Statistics, Calculus, trigonometry, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry and economics. It can also be downloaded for a nominal fee and we can donate if so inclined to encourage this humanitarian effort

Salman Khan (Sal) founded the Khan Academy with the goal of using technology to educate the world

Sal received his MBA from Harvard Business School. He also holds a Masters in electrical engineering and computer science, a BS in electrical engineering and computer science, and a BS in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The lessons are masterpieces in education. Made is small modules for easy understanding and well explained in a relaxed manner.

Kindly visit the site and see what the future of education can be. This clubbed with iPOd Nano’s , iPhones and Google Wave could completely change the face of education in the coming years.

Sal Khan has been interviewed by major networks and devotes all his time to the effort.

This give me great hope for the younger generation and their willingness to serve.

There is no doubt in my mind that with people of this calibre the work can only go forward.
